Gone Wrong

 It was a nice Monday morning coming back from the weekend. I was excited to come back to school because Mark Robert, a former Nasa scientist, is coming to school and testing out an experiment with us. As I got to school, I saw Mark Robert get out of his car and walk into the hall. 

He asked me if I could help him out by setting up his experiment. I was excited but didn’t wanna act like it so I just said “Ok”. As soon as he turned around to walk towards the hall I started jumping up and down in excitement. My best friend Levi looked at me while I was jumping and said “Nerd”. After Mark told me where to put his stuff, He then asked me to go to his car and get some of the other  equipment. I went to his car to get the equipment as I carried it into the hall. Half of the project was already set up by him. 

We finished setting up the project and he asked me if I could help him test it out. He asked me if there was anything in this hall you won’t need I said “ Umm that chair was already broken try that”. He grabbed the chair and he said “watch this”. As soon as he said watch this Levi came running into the hall and Mark got distracted and pointed the machine at him as the machine shot Levi got hit and after 20 long seconds he somehow started shrinking. I was looking at Mark and I said “ HOLY MOLY!!!!” I could hear Levi saying “ Huh what's happening? Why are you guys so tall?”. Mark said “His organs and everything in his body is now gone small but his voice volume and strength was still the same. As I walked up to Levi I picked him up and he said “ DON’T YOU TRY TO EAT ME ZORO” I giggled a little. I asked Mark “ How are we going to fix this ?“ He said “ The only way to fix this is if I could recreate the machine and blast him again but I am only able to do that in my Lab. I said “ Then we should get going” As Mark made up an excuse and told the office lady that someone was attacking his lab he hopped in his car and we were ready to get going. 

As we were  trying to get to the other side of town we were getting chased down by police officers because they thought I was getting kidnaped I put my window down and said “This is all a misunderstanding” but I doubt they could have heard me because of this Thunder. Mark decided to Pull Over so said “ What are you doing you will get arrested” but Mark said “ It’s better off telling them they will think that I am kidnapping you and eventually helicopters would come” I agreed as a entire swat team came to his window pointing their guns at him I put my Window down and I said “ THIS IS A MISUNDERSTANDING WE FAILED OUR SCIENCES PROJECT AND ACCIDENTALLY SHRUNK  MY FRIEND!!”. The Captain of the swat replied with “ I know he's telling you to say this kid it’s ok we caught him before he used you as a LABRAT!!!!”. 

As Mark got arrested my parents came to pick me up with Zoro but no one knew that and took me home. I was complaining the whole way home but that just wouldn’t listen. I lost hope but 2 hours later Mark's Japanese assistant Nisinoya came and made up an excuse “ Oh I am the school principal I need to take your son to school for his next test”, My parents agreed I actually thought he was the principal but when we both hopped in the car he said “ I’m Mark's assistant he asked me to come fix his mistake. As we reached the lab we got ready to fire the Machine I asked him “ Umm am I supposed to put Zoro somewhere” he said “ In front of the Machine” but as he fired the machine a  huge energy wave got out because Nishinoya didn’t know how to power the machine. But Zoro still turned back to his original size. As everyone had eyes on the lab I went outside and surprisingly there was a news crew they wanted to ask me questions about me getting kidnapped but I said “ Listen Mark didn’t kidnap me he was taking me to his lab because he failed his sciences experiment thats how” The news reporter just turned around and reported what I said. As I watched Mark get released  from prison he told me that I am a good kid and I might become a good scientist myself.

What is Pauline doing to help animals that are endangered?

The Maori Scientist Harris Pauline is working hard to help animals that are endangered, she is simplifying Maori  traditional knowledge with western knowledge. She managed to gather information from the Maori people who live in Alaska and they say that their lakes are melting faster, their lakes usually melt around summer. When she got the information from Alaska she was wondering if something like that is affecting animals in New Zealand. She found out that Mosquitoes are hatching earlier and animals along with insects are growing faster.

How is the Maori knowledge helping her?

She is also checking out areas around New Zealand and to see if anything weird is happening. Many Maori communities have a great understanding of the plants,animals and insects cycle also Harris Pauline is a part of 3 Maori tribes so she probably understands how the plant,animal, and insects cycle go’s so she knows when climate change is affecting the plants,animals and insects. She is also creating a map that combines the Maori knowledge with our knowledge now and seeing what’s the differences between what happened back then and now.

This week for writing we were writing a explanation writing. I enjoyed making the brainstorm cause I got to think about the Manuka Products and do research on it. After we make the brainstorm we would be getting ready to make a Explanation writing.

This week we were practicing how to write a sentence. We watched a video that showed 6 ways to start a sentence then we wrote our own sentences. My first sentence starts with a ly word which means after that we add a coma. 



- Excitingly, she stood up and started dancing.

- Scared by the loud thunder, she hid under the desk. 

- Carelessly, he walked into a pool and pencil dived into it. 

- Carefully, he stole his brother's phone.

How Does A School Operate?

How does a school operate?
You might be asking how schools operate. If you went to school you would know that every school separates their classes by age and grades. They help you learn more about the world. 

In Primary schools ,Intermediate and Secondary schools students get to learn more about the world. Some schools around New Zealand are called Full Primary Schools because they both have Primary and Intermediate students. People in schools get to learn about social learning, English, Science and everything else. In Secondary Schools they do exams which are basically tests. Every school has a principal. Without one the school will be a mess. A principal is a person that is in the command of leading the school. She or he helps students become  future leaders. 

We need to go to school because it helps students out with their education. You need to learn because if you don’t you don’t really have a future ahead. I hate going to school as well but as soon as I finish university I hope to be a scientist and a sports player. So people who stay home playing video games don’t focus on their future in life. I get that people can get successful playing video games but think about it do you want just that or a better future.

When you are in kinder garden or anything do the teachers ask you what you want to achieve in life?. You would probably answer stuff like I want to be a rugby player and everything but think what does it take to be a player like that. It takes knowledge and everything to be able to pursue your future.

If you go to school you can learn a lot of things like computer science,Social Skills, Sports,Science,Math,Reading and writing. Being an active learner leads you to success and everything.

Teachers help students focus on their work and teach them more about every subject. A teacher aid is a helper that is not a trained teacher but is a helper from the community. Cleaners help clean bathrooms and everything if they didn’t I wouldn’t want to go to the toilets if I were you. Office staff operate enrolment forms, Packages and help students when they need help. A caretaker is a person who goes around the school and fix stuff that’s broken.

Los Angles Inkers Story

While Levi was watching on the bench watching his team suffer *LAI* His team is  trying to get one more goal to have a tiebreaker. The score was 112 to 114. LAI was losing by 2 points. Coach subbed Levi in with 1 minute left. Levi throws the ball to the Kolt Unit. Levi dashes past the defender to the three pointer line, Kolt, Passes the ball Levi catches it and shoots and he hits a two pointer not a three pointer due to a push by the defender . As the seconds go down each team is trying to get a goal. Coach and everyone was waiting for the clock to go down. 10 seconds on the clock and Nick Gitson steals the ball for LaI. He passes it to Levi, Levi shoots a half court shot with 1 second on the clock as the buzzer goes off . Levi gets it in. The whole crowd went wild when it went in. Players on  the bench ran to the middle of the court and lifted up Levi and cheered him on. As that was Los Angeles Inkers up against Lifted Blazers.

 I remember that day Dad was amazing thanks for reminding me about that. It’s ok Hinata the High school championship final is tomorrow and it's your big day there's gonna be scouts just be yourself Hinata. 1 day later. It was Easteneren Flakers vs Arsenal. We were late in the 4th quarter  with 1 minute and ten seconds left. The score was Easteneren Flakers 97 to Arsenal 100 as the minutes went down scouts were curious to see which team would win as the time hit 7 seconds. Hinata was in the Eastern Flakers so it was their throw in as his teammate Alex Sanchez passed the ball to Hinata, Hinata shot on the three pointer line but was fouled last second due to the defenders bumping him off but he still managed to hit the three pointer and everyone in the crowd was yelling “SWOOSH” but as he was fouled The Easteneren Flakers got another chance to break the tie so it was 100 all. Nicko from the Easteneren Flakers threw the ball in Hinata caught it and shot but as he shot he missed the target but then Nicko dashed pass the free throw line and dunked the ball as soon as he rebond it everybody was like “YAY” as the buzzer ran out . But there was one Problem the scouts didn’t have and interest in Hinata but on his teammate Nicko. Hinata went home sad but as his dad got home his dad said that the scouts didn’t sign you because you were already signed buy LAI. Los Angles Inkers my old team said dad. Hinata was so happy he got a chance to join a team.
